New Jersey Politics
In my travels around the state, I hear the same empty rhetoric from "foreigners". "NJ is a swampland." "NJ smells." "Politics in NJ is disgusting." Well, the first two lines are dead wrong. NJ is a gorgeous state to live in. NJ provides an outstanding standard of living as evidenced by Monmouth County, which was voted one of the TOP 3 Counties in America! NJ offers a whole coast of beaches, casinos, parks, professional sports, an enormous selection of restaurants and hotels, and great people who make NJ what it is today, the best state in the USA. Which leads us to the last quote: |

"Politics in NJ is disgusting."
Well, not quite. I know that may surprise you, but NJ is a very competitive state where, as Darwin best exemplified, there is a "survival of the fittest." There is a difference between good and bad politics, though. Good politics deals with candidates who discuss issues and conduct themselves properly to the general public. Bad politics is when the mudslinging and dirty campaigning comes out. I am getting very tired of the same Democratic rhetoric of trying to break the laws in this great country. Funny, a democrat resigns-then petitions to put another democrat on the ballot-to an attorney general appointed by a governor who is democrat-decided in court by one of the most liberal supreme courts in the country. In short, Republicans represent good politics, while the Democrats continue to embarrass the good citizens of the US.
What this quote means to Campaign 2002.
The U.S. Senate Race is a great example of good vs. bad politics. Republican Doug Forrester is for the war on terrorism, wants to fight to lower taxes, doesn't want the NJ Governor to tax the small businesses out of existence, and will fight to clean up the environment in NJ. Democrat Frank Lautenberg has been out of the loop for 2 years and has already come out attacking our good GOP candidate rather than give his platform. Hmm, Frankie boy, let's stick to the issues, ok? Oh yes, Frank doesn't even want the job, if he were to win (over my dead body, or his (all bets say his)), he would resign to let Governor McSleaze appoint his butt-buddy Golan Cipel or one of his other "close advisors." Hmmm.... Shows that the Democrats really care about the people of NJ. Doug Forrester has shown from the start that he is dedicated to bringing morality and virtue back to the U.S. Senate and isn't about to change his campaign now, even after the Democrats have attempted to break the rules. The choice is yours, NJ. PLEASE, do the right thing and
VOTE FOR DOUG FORRESTER!
